中国人的家庭观念很强，这与中国几千年的传统观念有关。

The concept of “family” is extremely important to Chinese people. It is rooted in thousands of years of Chinese culture and tradition.

中国人特别重视大家庭。以前，四代同堂并不鲜见，现代三代同堂比比皆是。

Large families are especially highly respected /admired. In the old days, it was not uncommon to find four generations of family living under the same roof. Today, it is common phenomena to find three generations living together.

青年男女结婚后，许多还和父母住在一起，这样他们可以照顾老人，老人也可以帮助他们照顾孩子。

Many young couples continue to live with their parents after marriage, which enables them to care for their elders. Likewise, grandparents can help care for their grandchildren.

尊老爱幼是中国人的传统美德。美满和睦的大家庭会受到人们的尊敬和羡慕。

现在，年轻人有结婚后独立生活的趋势，但每逢节假日都要去看望老人，尤其是中秋节和春节。

Beauty

There were sensitivity and a beauty to her that have nothing to do with looks. She was one to be listened to, whose words were so easy to take to heart. Would her life have been different had she been pretty? Chances are it would have. Her words came from a wounded but loving heart, very much like all hearts, but she had more of a need to be aware of it, to live with it and learn from it. She possessed a fine-tuned sense of beauty. Her only fear in life was the loss of a friend.
