flavor.

The Park of Sweet Osmanthus is noted for its

profusion of osmanthus trees. Flowers from

these trees in different colors are in full bloom

which pervade the whole garden with the

fragrance of their blossoms

Itis said that the Northern Song Dynasty poet

Su Dongpo, when he served as governor of

Hangzhou, used to go to the temple with his

friends and subordinates for a visit. And he is

said to have handled a court case in the Cold

Spring for the owner of a fan shop, for Su was

a famous painter, calligrapher as well as a

poet.

华清池

Inside the Huachingchih Spring, there is a

bathing pool called Kueifeichih which is said to

have been the bathing place of Yang Kweifei. a

famous beauty in the history of China.

traditionally used in divination), which is similar

to the pattern on a tortoise shell.
