I have been freed from all trouble and responsibility. 我已经从所有的麻烦和负担中解脱出来了。 c. Firefighters took two hours to release the driver from the wreckage. 消防员们花了2个小时把那个司机从车的残骸中 解救出来 d. The bird was released from the cage. 鸟从笼子里放出去了。
5. 免得让某人去做某事，省去某人做某事 save sb. from doing sth. 例句： a. I will lend you a bag for your trip-it will save you from buying one specially. 我借给你一个旅行包,省得你特地去买。 b. A broom with a long handle will save you from having to bend down to clean the floor. 长扫把可以让你不用弯腰扫地。
8. 将某人或某物排除在…之外 exclude sb. (sth. )from sth. 例句： a. He excluded certain passages from the original book in the new edition. 新版中他将某些段落删掉了。 b. All those under twenty years of age are excluded from the club. 所有20岁以下的都不让参加这个俱乐部。
9. 将某事对某人藏住（隐瞒) hide sth. from sb. 例句: a. The bushes hid my bike completely from the passers-by. 树丛将我的车完全藏在过路人视线之外。 b. I feel sure that he was trying to hide something about his past from me. 我敢肯定他当时试图对我隐瞒他过去的某些事情。
例句: a. They tried to prevent us (from) coming back, but in vain. 他们想阻止我们回来，但没成功。 b. Nothing can stop me (from) achieving my ambition. 什么也不不能阻止我实现我的理想。 c. The heavy rain kept us from attending the meeting. 暴雨使我们无法赴会。

在英语学习中我们常会遇到“动词+宾语 +from” 这一类动词短语。现将常用的此类 动词短语的用法加以归纳，以便于记忆。
1.阻止某人做某事 a. prevent sb. (from) doing sth. b. stop sb. (from) doing sth. c. keep sb. from doing sth.（from不可省） 基本意思都是“阻止某人做某事”,但是 keep sb. from doing sth.中的from不可省 略.
4.劝(某人)勿做某事; discourage sb. from sth.(doing sth.) 例句： a. We tried to discourage him from climbing the mountain without a guide. 我们设法劝他没有向导不要爬山。 b. The bad weather discouraged people from attending the parade. 恶劣的天气阻止了人们参加游行。
他伸出胳臂护住脸部免受拳击。
c. We must be protected from surprise attacks.
我们必须做好准备,防止突然袭击。
7.允许(某人)不做某事… excuse sb. from sth. (doing sth.) 例句： a. The teacher has excused the students from their homework for this evening. 那位老师已经同意学生们今晚不做作业。 b. I can not excuse you from attending my classes. 我不能允许你不上我的课。
2. 禁止某人做某事。 a. ban sb. from doing sth. b. prohibit sb.from doing sth. 例句： a. The authority banned visitors from smoking in the building. 当局禁止来访者在大楼里抽烟。 b.Baidu NhomakorabeaAfter the accident, he was banned from driving. 事故发生后,他被禁止驾车。 c. Is there a law which prohibits teenagers from smoking? 有没有禁止少年抽烟的法律? d. We are prohibited from drinking alcohol during working hours. 工作时间内不得喝酒。
6. 保护某人（某物）免受… protect sb./sth. from (doing) sth. 例句： a. Miss Green has worn a fur coat to protect herself from the cold.
