Feminist Literary Criticism Theory Reading Report

When I first came across these theories, I was vacillating between various choices. But, I chose feminist literary criticism theory in the end. The reason is that I am quite interested in this theory, and I also find that some articles written from the male perspective and some female characters will trigger people's thinking, which makes me want to have a deeper understanding of this theory.

Feminist criticism is one of the contemporary western literary theories. Feminist literary criticism was born in the late 1960s and early 1970s in Europe and America and is still developing today. It is the result of the western feminist movement rising and penetrating into the field of culture and literature. It is a women-centered criticism, and its research objects include women's image, women's creation and women's reading.

After a long period of development, feminist literary criticism theories have been enriched. And with the development of The Times, a variety of criticism theories under specific circumstances have been derived. However, no matter how many feminist criticism genre and differences, it is very outstanding in common: based on the rights of women, change the existing social structure and cultural order, make literary criticism and a consciousness of female writing, the weapons and the way to become the women's liberation, is also the process of liberation and flags.

With the development of theory, the scope of feminist literary criticism is expanding. As far as I understand, feminist literary criticism includes but is not limited to the following research areas:

In the first, traditional cultural criticize male centralism, for women in the economic, political, legal, cultural, education, family have the same rights as men, actively take part in the fight against gender discrimination, and emphasis on women is the center of the activity, the main body, so that to improve the human cultural ecology and the humanities environment.

In the second, reappraisal of literature (including the history of literary theory and literary criticism), that of crude oil is a patriarchal discourse of literary history, is a reflection of female subordination thought, the excavation of the buried or ignored in female writer's works, correcting the mistakes of the patriarchal tradition of understanding, doubt that the recasting of the traditional literary theory and criticism method.

The last but not least, to investigate the female consciousness of literature, improve the female image, the feminine unique form of expression, such as the language of literature, image, theme, plot, symbol factors, such as understanding of feminism, namely that it should be in the center of the male model has the difference, or think it should be separated from men as frame of reference framework of binary opposition, have their own independent space.

Anyhow, feminist literary criticism theory application range is wide, containing a variety of a
