Step1.Introduction

1.show a map of the world to the

students. Ask them to find the seven continents and four oceans.

2.Ask the students:

Who has been to

Thailand/Korea/Malaysia/Singapore/Ja pan?

Which country would you like to visit the countries above?

3.Tell the students the Chinese

history briefly. Students may answer the

questions according to

their experience.

Help the student s

learn a lot about

China and other

countries.

Step2 Presentation.

1 .Discuss the Chinese culture .such as the Great Wall, the Giant panda ,the Chinese spring festiva l etc.

2.Then comes to the comic strip. Eddie and Hobo are visiting the Great Wall. What do they think of it? Answer the questions:

(1)He thinks it is

amazing.

(2)No, he

doesn’t.

(3)No, I don’t

think so.

Some of them act

the conversation.

Step 3.Ask and answer

(1)What does Hobo think of the Great

Wall? Students may answer the

questions according to

their experience.
