使英语学习显得不那么枯燥，让学生轻松学英语。
2.在语篇教学时，我采用“先整体，后局部，再整体”的教学方法，即强调语篇的整体性教学，同时又恰到好处地处理了依附于语篇存在的生词和句型，使得语篇教学在新语言点的支撑下焕发勃勃生机。
3.在最后创设“Choose a bag for teacher”情境教学中，使学生身临其境，从而达到学以致用的目的。
使学生在轻松、愉快的环境中积极地学习，积极地交流，极大地激发了学生的学习兴趣，从而为学生进一步学习英语奠定了良好的基础。
二、教学背景分析1.教学内容分析：本节课的教学内容所涉及的语言功能是用英语（形容词）描述事物的性质、特征。
本节课是本模块的第一课时。
通过本课的学习,学生不仅巩固了曾学过的相关形容词而且应能够用英语描述事物的特征、比较事物，以及为学习Unit2和今后的进一步学习打下良好的语言基础。
2.学生情况分析：五年级学生已学了近三年的英语，故有一定的基础，但是也不像三、四年级学生对英语充满好奇，甚至产生了厌学的情绪，为此，我采用了在任务型教学过程中渗入TPR和“课堂积分”的评价方法，让学生动起来、让课堂活起来，让学生轻松学英语。
三、教学目标分析基于《课程标准》的要求，教材的特点，学生的认知规律，确定如下教学目标：知识目标：1.学会单词“heavy，light，broken，pocket”。
2.句子：It’s big and light. It’s got two pockets. It’ll be easy for me.3.用英语描述事物的特征。
能力目标：运用英语简单地描述自己的书包。

【教材分析】本课是新标准英语三年级起第六册第五模块第一单元的内容。
本单元对话内容很具有故事性，本课围绕去商场买包展开，内容趣味生动，贴近生活，整个知识重点始终围绕谈论物品的特征，表达自己对事物的看法。
该单元的课文情景是Lingling的行李箱坏了，Ms Smart要为她买一个新的，于是两个人一起去了百货商店。
Lingling看到一款黑色的提包，觉得它又大又好看，但Ms Smart 认为这个包对Lingling来说太重了；Ms Smart向Lingling推荐了一款绿色的提包，它不但很轻，而且有两个口袋，可以装雨伞，但Lingling觉得它太小；最后，Ms Smart看到一款蓝色的箱子，它又大又轻，还有四个轮子，用起来很方便。
Ms Smart最终给Lingling 买了这个蓝色的箱子，Lingling向Ms Smart表示感谢。
【学情分析】根据小学高年级阶段学生的特点：好奇、好动、善模仿、好表演，对英语的学习兴趣浓，但不能持久，因此，在任务型教学过程中用具体、形象的教学材料及TPR等灵活多样的教学方法来引导学习。

本课的教学对象是五年级的学生，经过两年的英语学习，大部分学生有一定的英语基础，且这个年龄阶段的学生好奇心和求知欲都比较强。
他们喜欢在玩中学习，喜欢进行活动、游戏。
而且小学五年级的学生，学习的时间紧、任务重。
学生知识巩固和教师指导完成练习的时间几乎没有，由于基础知识掌握不扎实，对学生或老师而言，课本上每一个单词、句子都是新的。
这也造成了恶性循环。
所以我刚开始让学生用最直观的图片，书包等吸引学生的兴趣。
在课堂中我围绕教学目标特别为他们设置有趣的游戏和活动，调动每一个孩子学习的兴趣，以此提高教学效果。
本课要解决的主要知识点是“It’s big and light”和“It’s be easy for you”两个句型，并通过一系列的课堂活动，创设语境巩固、运用这两个句型。
在整一堂课中对学生的学习评价采用：答对问题，采取竖大拇指的评价活动，并将其贯穿整节课。
教学中，我尽量使自己的课堂用语简练、风趣、幽默，教态自然、大方，为学生们营造一个宽松又和谐的教学氛围，对学生的点滴进步及时的激励表扬，更让她们乐于参与，游戏，竞赛，合作学习使得整堂课生动不已。
但也有不足之处
A: 单词教授没能结合语音朗读，不利于学生的掌握。
B: 重点单词的教学不够突出，训练不够到位。
C: 时间安排不够合理。
教学呈现出课文内容占用时间过多，以至于最后环节只能匆匆而过，达不到预定的效果。
D: 整节课的学习应该更多地关注学生之间的差异，教学目标应该针对学生差异而有所调整。
