Grammar一致关系(concord/Agreement) [名词的数与谓语动词的一致] ——主要是指主语和谓语动词之间在人称(Person)和数(Number)的形态上的协调。
1.以集体名词和并列结构作主语的主谓一致问题1)以集体每次作主语的主谓一致当主语为集体名词时,一致关系有以下三种情况:a) 当主语是cattle/police/poutry(家禽)/people等集体名词时,谓语动词通常要用复数;e.g. The French people are very friendly to foreign tourists.The police are searching for a drought.b) 有些集体名词如equipment/furniture/machinery(机器)merchandise(货物),谓语动词通常用单数e.g. The merchandise has arrived undamaged.The furniture for sale includes wardrobes, dressing tables and etc.c) 还有一些集体名词如audience(听众)/class/crew/family/governmentpublic(公众)/team等当视为一个整体时,随后的动词用单数;当视为一个整体时,随后的动词用单数;当视为构成整体的一个个成员时,随后的动词用复数。

一、语法一致 主语为单数形式,谓语动词也用单数形式; 主语为复数形式,谓语动词也用复数形式。
例如: I often help him and he often helps me. 我经常帮助他,他也经常帮助我。
Rule1:由and 连接的并列成分指的是同一概念,同 一个人,同一件事,谓语用单数。 由 and 连接的两个并列成分表示两个不同的概念, 谓语用复数。
• Rule2: every one, everybody, any one, anybody,
anything, no one, (none除外)等不定代词及each, the other作主语时,谓语动词用单数形式。如: Nothing in the box is mine.
二、意义一致
主语形式虽为单数,但意义为复数,谓语动词用复数; 主语形式为复数,而意义为单数,谓语动词用单数。
如:
The crowd were surrounding the government official. 人群包围了这位政府官员。 Maths is hard to learn. 数学难学。
语法一致
• Rule9: form/type/kind of +n. 谓语与 form, type, kind的单复数保持一致。
