1、机场迎接、送往旅馆、预订房间。

H:Excuse me,you must be Mr. Brown from America?

B: Yes, I am.

H: Hello, nice to meet you. How do you do? I am Huang Mei, the secretary of China Foreign Trade Export&Import Corporation.

B: How do you do, Miss. Huang.

H: I know you very well by reputation, and allow me to introduce you to Mr. Zhang, our general manager.

Z: Welcome to our city. I am glad to meet you. Do you have a nice trip?

B:Glad to meet you, too. The plane has made a perfect landing.

Z: Get on, please. We are driving to the hotel.

B:In which hotel will I live?

Z: We have reserved a spacious single room with bath for you at the Lotus Hotel. It is located in the city center, and it is one of the four-star hotels in this city.

B: You have received my fax to reserve a suite. That is great, Thank you!

Z: The car is coming. Please sit back and made yourself comfortable.

B: Thank you. I wish to establish a long-term trade agreement between our two corporations.

Z:You took the words out of my mouth. I hope you will have a good time.

2、寒暄、设宴招待、敲定谈判时间。

H: Good Morning, Mr. Brown. Did you have a good rest last night?

B: Yes, I did. I am getting on nicely. Thank you.

H:I am glad to hear you say so. Now, our manager Mr. Zhang sent me over to say that he requests the pleasure of your company at the dinner.

B: I really do not deserve his kindness, and I am sure I will enjoy your company. Z: Mr. Brown, it is a pleasure to have you here.

B: It is very kind of you to have invited me.

Z: That is your seat, Mr. Brown. Sit down, please.

B: Thank you. I know nothing of your table manners. It would be in bad taste for a guest to make blunders. 这么鲁莽太失礼了。

3、初次会谈:Trade policy, long-time cooperation.

Z: Good morning, Mr. Brown. It is nice to see you again.

Z: Well, to come to the point. How would you like to proceed with the negotiations?

B: This is my first time to visit China, so I would like to know something about your foreign trade policy.

Z: Our foreign trade policy is opening-up policy, and has always been based on equality and mutual benefit and exchange of needed goods. We insist on this principle, but we have adopted much more flexible methods in our dealings.

B: Would you please give us a brief account about the flexible practices you have adopted?

Z: We have mainly adopted some usual international practices, such as payment by installments, process with client's materials, compensation trade, assembling trade, joint venture and so on.

B: That is very well. So, what would you like to import, then?

Z: We will mainly introduce advanced technology, scientific management, complete plant and so on.

B: I wonder whether you need a loan?

Z: Yeah, we may take it into consideration to accept government-to-government or non-government loans if the conditions permit.

B: Mr. Zhang, another purpose of my coming here is to establish long-term trade relations with your company.

Z: I can assure you of our close cooperation.

B: Concerning our financial position, credit standing, trade reputation, you may refer to San Francisco Branch, the Bank of China.

Z: Thank you for your information. One of our principles is to see to it that contracts are honored and commercial integrity maintained.

4、询盘、报盘、还盘,讨价还价。

Z: Good morning, I want to open this morning's talk by asking if you are interested in our textiles.

B: Yes, we are thinking of placing an order. If your prices are reasonable.

Z: OK. I can assure you of our fine quality and reasonable prices.

B: I would like to have your lowest quotation on CIF San Francisco.

Z: The lowest prices of T-shirts, sport shirts are $80 per dozen CIF San Francisco. The lowest prices of bras, pajamas are $30 per dozen.
