language on television as long as it is not used in programmes watched by children.

a)本句为主从复合句,as long as 引导条件状语从句。Published by…, watched by…为过去
分词短语作定语,修饰a research 和programmes. 也可转换未定语从句which/that was published by… 和that/which are watched by children.

b)According to 意思是根据,按照。后接名词,但不接不接表示观点的名词如opinion, view,
point等。要表示“根据某人的观点”时用in one’s opinion. According as 是连词,其后接句子,意思是“取决于”,accordingly 是副词,修饰动词或句子,意思是“按照已知或所说的情形”

a) a certain amount of 后接不可数名词。这类词有:much, a great/good deal of, a large
amount of, amounts of; 修饰可数名词的有:many, many a/an , a great/ good many, a good/large number of; 既可修饰可数和不可数名词的有:a lot of, lots of, a quantity of, quantities of, plenty of, a supply of, supplies of.
b)Amounts of 和quantities of 后接不可数名词做主语时,谓语动词用复数形式;many
a 加单数名词作主语,谓语动词用单数形式。

give comments on… voice one’s opinion on…

b)scene 可数名词意思是场面场景,习惯搭配on/at the scene 在现场,behind the
scenes 在幕后,秘密地。
Eg; The sunset is a beautiful scene. 落日的余晖是一幅美丽的画面。
c)scene , scenery, view, sight 表示景色时的区别
scene 表示以具体展现在眼前的景色,包括其中的人物、动作和行为。
Scenery 表示一具体地区的自然景色如:English scenery “英国的景色”。指布景时,scene 指一场或一幕。View 指在远处或高处以人的角度看到的scenery 的一部分。Sight “风景,名胜”,用复数形式指人文景观。
4.We have always tried to keep bad language away from innocent ears and this is a very
important consideration when deciding at what times of day certain programmes are shown.
