I diligently pursue all cases of academic dishonesty. Academic dishonesty includes representing the work of another as one’s own work or cheating by any means. Academic dishonesty includes aiding, abetting, concealing or attempting such activity. The usual penalty is an F in the course and possible suspension from the University. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. Plagiarizing/cheating on any quiz, assignment or exam will result in a zero grade. MKET 200 Principles of Marketing SUMMER 2018
Class Hours: Monday through Thursday, 2 hours (2*60minutes) each day Discussion: Friday, 1 hour (60 minutes) Review Section: Saturday, 1 hour (60 minutes) Office Hour: 2 hours (According to professors' teaching plan) Field Trip: According to Professors' teaching plan Credit : 4 Total Contact Hours: 60 hours (50 minutes each)
Instructor: Moe Hassan Required Text: Kerin & Hartley, Marketing The Core, 7th edition. McGraw Hill Publishing Course Description: This course is designed to provide students with a basic understanding of the theoretical and applied aspects of marketing. In addition to presentation of the marketing mix and decision-making, key perspectives that shape marketing activities are explored throughout the course. These perspectives include environmental forces, consumer trends and behaviors, and the impacts of ethics and social responsibility. This course will consist of lectures, classroom discussions and case/problem solving assignments. Group work and class discussions will be emphasized. Be prepared to participate in class and group discussions. In-class assignments pertaining to current chapter material will be given on random basis. ASSIGNMENTS: All assignments must be professionally completed and turned in by due dates. The assignments must be typed & spell checked (double space). Late assignments will not be accepted. Plan ahead! Homework assignments must be typed as instructed. In Class assignments must be done in class on the day of assignments. NO MAKE UPS. NO LATE ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. ATTENDANCE & PARTICIPATION: Class attendance and proactive participation in case analysis and chapter discussions are required and part of
your overall grade. Unexcused absence or tardiness will be penalized. See Course Requirements. If you’re absent, you will lose opportunity to complete in class assignments/participate thus lose Class Participation points. No eating or snacking is allowed in classroom. Absolutely NOT! No "ON" cellular phones in the classroom. TURN OFF Please! All Cell phone must be stored away during class time. No casual talking during lectures. Respect the class, don’t be disruptive! Your disruption is other’s agitation! Plagiarism in tests, assignments or cases or any other assignment will result in a zero grade for that test or assignment or case. Copying other’s work is considered plagiarism and is not be acceptable and will not be graded. You will be denied access and dropped from the class if your behavior is disruptive and/or threatening to the instructor or any student. No eating or napping is allowed in the classroom. Drinks are allowed but you are responsible if you make a mess. No “On” Cell Phones during class. Laptops maybe used for class purposes only. Web surfing & texting is prohibited during class & can only be used for class purposes. All phones must be stored away during class time. Academic Honesty:
