“ABSTRACT 8”老师范例：

This informative abstract is relatively long since there are 380 words, in this full-structured abstract, the content is divided into eight sections including “context” “objective” “design and setting” …..and “conclusion” . The author is focus on results and give a very brief description of the conclusion.( type , length , content ) As we can see, most of the abstract is written in the active voice and the third person is used throughout the paper. As for tenses, most of the abstract is written in the past tense because it refers to work done, Present tense is only used in the “context” and “conclusion”.(language: tense ,voice, person)

In order to achieve coherence, the authors used some cohesive methods in this abstract. Firstly,transitional words,such as “but”….,are used. Secondly ,the authors employed repetition of key words such as “atorvastatin”（repeated 9 times）….. Finally, comparative references like “highest”, “lower”… are used. All of these cohesive methods make the discourse coherent and unified.(连贯：转折词，关键词重复，比较照应)

In order to achieve concise, the authors choose not to use full sentences from the objective section to the patient section.

In short, this abstract is well written.
