Introduction of the People's Park

Cangzhou City People's Park is the largest free open type comprehensive park which has a long history in Cangzhou City. Located in the busiest transportation hub in downtown, and it is an important place for public tours, ornamental, leisure,developing scientific and cultural educational activities and entertainment,body building.The amount of annual reception of visitors is about 2.8 million. It was open to the general public freely on June 3, 2008 , in November 2010 it was named the first batch of the top ten parks in Hebei Province ,it was awarded a five-star Park in December 2011.

Its predecessor was a heap of brick ruins.At the beginning of 1957 it began to invested in building, stopped sightseeing to rebuild and expand in 1962, officially opened on May 1, 1973. It began a large-scale transformation in 1992,completed the construction of the lake, mountains, bridge, road and the park’s green infrastructure during 1992 to 1994, it has been further strengthened and improved the infrastructure facilities and green cultivation in the subsequent years, the total investment was 50 million yuan. People's Park has a total area of 48.1 hectares , the water surface area is 13.7 hectares , the mountain area is two hectares. So far, the park’s green area is 31.3 hectares in all, the park has planted more than 120 species of green material about 346,000.

Returning to nature is its theme in planning, highlighting the landscape garden, focusing the cleverly set up of the landscape, under the whole rough uninhibited style,taking in compact southern gardens, winding streets, small in the big design techniques. Constantly building and improving, and gradually formed a "six scenic spots eight scenery" - six scenic spots : the entrance plaza area, fitness activities area, forest quiet area, water amusement area, children's playground area, flower production and exhibition area. The eight distinctive, timeless meaning scenery like bright pearls embellished among the six major scenic spots. Eight main scenery are: " let the eye travel over the great scenes and let fancy free", " waterfalls clouds ", "breeze blue", "stone and bamboo", "pavilion and sunset", "lion soul", "fog and rain" "lotus and moonlight".

Currently, the People's Park has a long history, stone set into a fun , mountains and rivers , trees formed shade, formed a comprehensive park both has the northern powerful spirit and southern landscapes.It also providing a beautiful landscape,fully functional, harmony shared urban open space for citizens. And gradually moving to the first-class park which sets"scientific, economical, ecological, service" in one.
