Chapter 9 Eating habits around the world
(民以食为天。中国幅员辽阔,民族众多,习惯各式各样。中国人的传统饮食习惯是以植物性食料为主。主食是五谷,辅食是蔬菜,外加少量肉食。以热食、熟食为主,也是中国人饮食习惯的一大特点。中国人的饮食习惯的另一大特点是使用筷子。中国地大物搏,疆域辽阔,有56个民族,31个省,每个民族和省份都有自己的对餐饮的独特爱好与讲究,国内宾客总的来说是南甜、北咸、东辣、西酸。江南人喜清淡、甜咸、爽口,讲究营养,乐于质高量小;西北人爱吃带有酸口、经济实惠和牛羊品种的菜肴,东北人爱吃肥而不腻,脂肪多的鱼肉菜肴,一般食用量大,通常习惯吃饱吃好。下面让我们来了解一下世界部分国家的饮食习惯吧。)
The first period Eating habits in Europe
I. Brief introduction
Europeans would like to make their food delicate and delicious. Generally, in Europe, people have three meals a day: breakfast, lunch and supper. They treat a lunch the most seriously, which is also called a dinner. In a dinner, there are three main courses: the first course(头盘), main course and dessert. The first course mainly contains delicious salad or some appetites. Main course contains all kinds of meat and seafood with some rice or chips. Cakes and ice creams are always served as dessert.
欧洲人喜欢精致美味的食物。通常来说,在欧洲,人们吃早午晚三餐,其中他们最重视午餐,也叫做正餐,正餐一般分为三道:头盘,主菜和甜点。头盘一般是一些可口的色拉或开胃小菜,主菜以肉食为主,还有一些美味的海鲜,有时候还加上米饭或薯条。甜点则通常是蛋糕和冰激凌。

British cuisine has been described as "unfussy dishes made with quality local ingredients, matched with simple sauces to accentuate flavour, rather than disguise
it."
Most British people have three meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and supper. For some, they may have afternoon tea with their family or friends. British cuisine has traditionally been limited in its international recognition to the full breakfast, fish and chips, and the Christmas dinner.At breakfast, they always have bacon, milk, sausages, and fried toasts.
Other famous British dishes include the Sunday roast, steak and kidney pie, shepherd's pie, bangers and mash,Cheshire cheese, Yorkshire pudding, and trifle. 英国人饮食并不挑剔,他们通常使用高质量的当地食材进行烹饪,加入简单的调味汁来突出它们的原汁原味,而不是去掩盖它们的味道。
大多数英国人一天吃早午晚三餐;有时候他们也会和朋友或家人喝喝下午茶。大家认为传统的英国饮食局限为英式早餐,炸鱼和炸薯条,以及圣诞大餐。英式早餐通常包含培根,牛奶,火腿肠和烤吐司。

2.Eating habits in France
French cuisine is famous for its fine food. As a result, French cuisine always has a romantic atmosphere. It consists of cooking traditions and modern practices, known for many rich sauces.
French cuisine was heavily influenced by Italian cuisine. Cheese and wine are a major part of the cuisine. French people like to have beef, pork, caviar and goose livers. They always prefer black tea, green tea and flower tea. They would like to have various types of fruit, favouring pineapples a lot.
法国饮食以精致出名,因此法国餐总有一种浪漫的气氛。包括以各种丰富的酱汁出名的烹饪传统和法国现代烹饪方式。
法国饮食很受意大利饮食的影响。奶酪和红酒是法国饮食的重要组成部分。法国人喜欢吃牛肉,猪肉,鱼子酱和鹅肝。他们也喜欢喝茶,尤其是红茶,绿茶和花茶。他们也喜欢吃各种各样新鲜的水果,以菠萝为甚。
