Teaching Procedure:
I. General Procedure:
1.Raise Warm-up Questions and Introduce Text-related Information. (3-5 Minutes)
2.Ask the students to read the whole passage quickly and find out the topic
sentences of each paragraph and the key words. (3-5 Minutes)
3. Ask the students to read paragraph by paragraph, trying to find out the answer
with the information from each paragraph. (5-8 Minutes)
4.Explain some language points and the complicated sentences. (15 Minutes)
5.Analyze the passage structure and write an outline of this passage (5 Minutes)
6.Role-Play: Students are asked to make up a conversation based on some supposed
situations. (8 Minutes)
7.Assignments: (1) Summarize what have learned in this lesson
(3-5 Minutes) (2) Discussion: Divide students into different groups and let them have a discussion on “The importance of being punctual”.
