龙在中国人心中向来是神圣的存在，自古以来就是人们所敬畏的神兽，是帝王的象征，中国人称自己为“龙的传人"，与龙有关的成语也大多代表着吉祥，如龙骧麟振、龙翔凤舞等。可是在西方，“dragon"代表着灾难与凶狠。在许多西方小说里，龙是作为邪恶的怪兽出现的，屠龙的人被人们奉为勇士。

虎在中国人眼里一直是百兽之王的形象，是威严与权力的象征，但在西方人眼里狮子是他们所公认的百兽之王。所以在翻译的过程中，带有虎字的词语译成英语后由“lion"代替。

在西方国家人们普遍认为蝙蝠是一种邪恶凶狠的动物，人们经常用蝙蝠形容一些负面的事物，但在中国由于蝠与福同音，蝙蝠反而变成了吉祥福气的代表。

由此可见，不同的民族文化在对待同一种动物词语时有很大的区别，词语背后的文化内涵也是千差万别。

In the eyes of Chinese people, the tiger is always the image of the king of beasts, a symbol of majesty and power, but in the eyes of Westerners, the lion is recognized as the king of beasts.Therefore, in the process of translation, the words with tiger character are translated into English and replaced by "lion".

In western countries, it is generally believed that bats are vicious and vicious animals. People often use bats to describe some negative things, but in China, because bats are homophonic with blessing, bats have instead become the representative of good fortune.
