Unit 2 No one knew who I was.

学习目标:1、能够正确使用下列单词和词组:gift, junior high school, far away, lonely, afraid, (be) afraid to do, make friends (with), anyone, laugh, worry,

worry about, usual, at that moment, pass, touch, bright, day by day,

matter, believe.

2、能够正确使用that, if, who, why 等引导的宾语从句。

3、能够理解作者通过故事传达的信息并能掌握故事的写作方式,介绍自己的经历。学习策略:自主学习,组内交流,班内展示。

情感态度:培养学生互相关爱的情感,学习爱人和关心人。

学习过程

一、W arming-up

Teacher’activity : Ask the students to work in pairs and answer the questions.

1.When was the last time you felt unhappy?

2.Who did you tell that you were unhappy?

3.What did you do to feel better ?

4.How can you make other people feel happy?

Students’ activities:Ask and answer.

设计目的:通过该活动,激活学生对本单元内容的学习兴趣。

二、In put

1.Ask the students to read the passage and look and decide who is in the photo.

2.Ask the students to read the passage again and choose the best answer.

(1). Why was the smile an important gift?

A. Zhang Bei’s old school was far away.

B. It made Zhang Bei happy, lively and warm.

(2). Why couldn’t Zhang Bei talk to anyone about her problem?

A. Because she didn’t want her parents to worry about her.

B. Because she didn’t have any friends in her new school.

(3). Why do you think the boy smiled?

A. He really liked Zhang Bei.

B. He was a very friendly boy and smiled at everyone.

(4). How did the smile change her life?

She began to make friends.

She became best friends with the boy.

3.精讲知识点

(1)give sb. sth. ( give sth. to sb.)给某人某物

A boy gave me an important gift. 一个男孩给了我一份重要的礼物。

(2)be far away (from)... 离......远

My old school was far away. 我以前的学校很远。

(3)be afraid to do sth. 害怕干某事

I was very lonely, and afraid to make friends with anyone.

我感到很孤独,并且害怕和任何人交流。

(4). No one knew who I was. 没有人认识我。

(5). I asked him why he smiled. 我问他为什么笑。

(6). Now I believe that the world is what you think it is.

现在我相信,你感觉世界是怎样的,它就是怎样的。
